    had a pretty awesome (albeit drunk) christmas eve celebration with the lab, since it WAS the lab's anniversary. hahah. in short, we headed to a nice place to chow and i downed about 9 cups of beer (no stout ever)

    9 cups ain't really alot, considering i usually drink much more, but in any case, it got to my head pretty quickly, probably due to the face that my stomach was virtually empty save some noodles and some fries.

    Being drunk ( and keeping denying it )
    its a very interesting experience, i understand why people drown their sorrows in alcohol
    think of it like a control switch, a normal person thinks and acts both with the brain and the heart.

    however a person under the influence of alcohol, seems to cut of most of the brain's interference with judgement. that is to say, a person does and acts based on what his or her heart is thinking at the point of time. which means doing crazy things one would not usually do.

    not to say that its not good :)
    sometimes all people need is a little less self control

    well whatever it is, it was a pretty drunk day for me. (and a happy one)

    ~~~~~~
    got approx 3 weeks before i gotta head back to the little red dot.
    and my project is still under way. lots of work to be done this week, although supervisor ain't worried about it. he said it would only take 48 hrs to complete the final test for apoptosis, so i would like to believe him in that. well, if all goes fine, anyway i'm supposed to finish my RT RT-PCR by next week, but instead i just set myself a deadline this week, hoping to complete and churn out all the results asap. hopefully, just hopefully it pays off. dare not think if it didn't, meaning to say it would be a waste of time and effort.
    3 more PCRs to go... total of 25+18+16 reactions = 59 reactions.
    that equals to about 60 x 7 = 420 pipette tips to prepare.
    not a small number considering i've expended almost about 1000 tips in the past weeks for pcr already. oh well, guess i'm gonna be staying late in the lab everyday for the next few days.
    gonna be allllll alone in the lab pipetting allllllll alone :(
    grahh, and my phone just had to run out of cash at this time. can't call or sms people, so restricting. and compounding the problem is the lack of the internet at the hotel. pretty pissing off huh...
    oh well, guess its just about time to go and collect my autoclaved tips and do YET another PCR.
    if only dreams were real...that in itself would be quite a miracle
    And I realized...
