another LAZY monday afternoon. basically involves just chilling at the lab table with a laptop that has no sound. lunch consisted of a pack of some carrot-like cake (i swear its tapioca) and a royal brownie cornetto. Ck & I are like turning into cornetto fanatics, chowing one down every other day. usually i take the vanilla one, but the top is so full of nuts, its cumbersome.
anyway, had a really FILLING day yesterday. (Literally)
Sunny kk and Susi jj brought us out to lunch nearby the house at district 7. its a different world totally. in fact, it looks more like malaysia than vietnam over there. in any case, i was craving for some western food and so it was!
we went to some store named 'Alfresco', basically serves mexican food, western and the usuals.
the whole family went, this means nicholas, adrian and jeremy went tgt too. What ended up on the table was just heaven for me.
JUMBO RIBS (super huge i swear)
*though i ate like 3/4 of the whole thing*
NACHOS (didn't really touch these, not my type +++ it was spicy)
LASAGNE (so cheesy it could put the packet kraft cheese to shame)
in anycase, the ribs were damn ^!^@*!&!*@)! good :)
what started off as nicely roasted ribs slathered with sauce, ended up as a pile of bones in front of me.
we ate enough to last for dinner, cause apparently i only felt slightly hungry at around dinner time. Before going back to the scanty hotel, we picked up LOADS of groceries; toiletries, junk food, drinks AND TOILET PAPER
apparently the hotel doesn't give enough toilet paper for use. so we just bought the whole pack of 10 rolls and i got a stack of 5 boxes of hand tissues.
those are used by my bedside and conveniently placed to stem my nose flow.
total spent was about... perhaps about 500,000 VND? about $40 in total. =x
lunch was about 1,185,000 VND. not too expensive considering there was like 4 adults and 3 kids to polish off the food
time for me to get cracking and force my hands to write my workbook!
maybe gonna do some rt pcr later on
