    the place where we inhabit
a place that houses every single living organism on this earth
the platform where symbiotic relationships are formed and others tossed into destruction
of the many billions of species present, one has moved on from the rest

    Man. Us.
what sets us apart from any four legged arthropod is that we have a disproportionately sized brain located at the top of our icky sized head
yet within this conglomerate of neurons and nerves, we use very little of our brain, less than 10% on average

    Homo sapiens sapiens,
we live in a environment absolutely bursting with them

yet despite this, much friction occurs
perhaps this could be due to many underlying reasons present, but basically revolve around the way we PERCEIVE things is our OWN way
even the longest lasting couple is bound to have quarrels

compare it to the modern world
a battlefield built atop towering fortresses made of steel
corporates rushing to bring in the daily cup of tea for the boss
executives frantically trying to push for sales
and the list is never inexhaustible

but its up to one thing, POLITICS
in a world where there is no "superior" being to follow, men have stepped up to assume various positions.
take for in small singapore, the PAP reigns supreme for now
year after year, support for the PAP is instilled in young minds around yet no matter how hard or how perfect they are,
chinks in the armour are omnipresent
this is encapsulated by the potong pasir win by the opposition
every few years, the stage is set as campaigners throng the streets as they canvas for their votes

    but why?
why must there be such thing are a superior and lesser being?
the answer is that as humans, we all have the competitive spirit ingrained into us
no matter how small the achievement, its always satisfying knowing that you are somehow "superior" to another invidual

but sometimes, things can get exponentially messy
especially when this competitiveness gets hold between 2 friends
with each wanting to outdo the other, its small wonder why there would be any friction

but another point i want to highlight is TOLERANCE
    this 9 letter word
    it can change a lot
because without this trait, the world would be engulfed in chaos
"we must learn to tolerate others"
a very common statement; easy to say, hard to execute
    why?

cause simply each one of us has their own tolerance threshold and once overstepped, it can lead to some devastating results
but no matter what happens, there are always bound to be this group present

    the "Mediators"
the people that stay in the crossfire zone and take both sides of the story
some could help provide unbiased solutions whiles others may care to just provide a listening ear
Being a "bridge" is not easy; in fact its really hard when you are caught in this fiasco and all you want is to get out unscathed

but little hope of that happening as you know that no matter what you do, it would inversely affect the other negatively

we can take it that people DO change, but we also know that most people DON'T change much
it may be for the better or for the worse, we never know
and it certainly isn't in our position to judge them by their decisions either

All i want to make clear is that when people DO change and not to your liking
    we can either:
    i) get upset about the change
    ii) ignore the person
iii) try and revert the person back to your preference

    and the fact that communication is VITAL;

    in my opinion;

communication is like a double-edged sword; with the outcome depending on how you wield it

no matter how strong a bridge is, it CAN and WILL collapse under stress

    And I realized...
    + + +
