well, today its 2230 hrs and we are about 8 hours ahead of the impending storm..
and people are getting down on attitude but today i feel really happy
why?
its because i treated this week as my last week "alive"
i really enjoyed it and never thought of the sad stuff that would collapse the mood
in fact, in this short week, i did many things that i wouldn't have done for a very very very long time

1.Going LAN ( signing up for zion)
i rmb i first started going LAN at pri 2 to play red alert 2, many years of abstinence...

2.Learning to play pool
i always wanted to learn how to play but never got around to doing it

3.Playing badminton with my sqd
same, never got around to doing it

4. spending money and not calculating every single cent
i just enjoyed the last week
5.kayaking w/ sqd
long time since i last kayaked

6. Lastly... I enjoyed myself
i haven felt like this in a very very long time... maybe the last one being getting my PSLE reesults

gawd, 6 things... which made me happy
and tmr, one single thing is going to rbing my whole world crashin down
the results

the simple irony of the subject
Results (ask me to write an essay for it, confirm lots o bullshit)
it has the power to make you happy or sad,
determines your future and whether it brightens it or collapes it
its all up to the letters and numbers on a slip of paper...
tts what we are, result minded people and citizens of a global city
a city where results and education are number 1.
we are taught how to adapt to changes to the society and improve ourselves accordingly, but what changes actaully do occur to our impregnable fortress?

nothing!
simply said, we are too well protected and until there is a desperate need, we would just pass off as book smart idiots with little or no idea of a different world.

since young, there are streaming and differentiation of classes and students

all in a bid to nurture the nations cream of the crop
and the rest lag behind getting a smaller piece of the tax payer's pie
so i'm considered lucky to be where i am now, but if we do not continue our strruggle for existence, what hope lies in the future of singapore?
